How it works
Three Steps to Christmas Magic
1. Nominate
Know a family going through a difficult season? A single parent doing everything for their kids? A family who could simply use a little hope? Tell us their story by October 15, 2026. You can nominate your own family too.
2. We choose a family
Starting October 16, 2026 we read every nomination and choose one family. We contact them privately first — nothing is announced without their blessing.
3. We light it up
Custom design, professional installation, maintenance through Christmas Eve and January removal — all on us — plus gifts and surprises from our sponsors. Then the reveal.

Program Rules
No purchase necessary. This is a community giveaway, not a sweepstakes — the family is chosen based on the nominations we receive, not by random drawing.
1. Organizer
The Exterior Holiday Lights Christmas Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is organized by Electrawn LLC d/b/a Exterior Holiday Lights, 302 Thrasher Rd, Plant City, FL 33566 (the "Organizer"), with the support of participating local businesses ("Sponsors"). The Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook, Instagram, Meta or Google.
2. Who can be nominated
Any family or household whose primary residence is in Hillsborough County or Polk County, Florida, within the Organizer's service area (including Tampa, Brandon, Valrico, Lakeland, Plant City, Winter Haven, Gibsonia, Riverview, Lithia, Seffner, Temple Terrace, Apollo Beach, Lutz, Carrollwood, Auburndale, Bartow, Mulberry, Haines City and Davenport). You may nominate your own family or someone else's. Renters are eligible with the property owner's permission to install exterior lighting. Employees and immediate family of the Organizer are not eligible; Sponsors' employees may nominate but are not eligible to receive the Giveaway.
3. Nomination period
Nominations are accepted from September 16, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 15, 2026. Nominations received after that time may be considered for a future year.
4. How to nominate
Complete the nomination form on this page with your contact details, the family's name, address and city, and a short explanation of why they deserve an unforgettable Christmas. Please nominate a family only once; you may nominate more than one family. Nominations must be truthful. By nominating someone else, you confirm you believe they would welcome the nomination; we will contact the family before anything is announced, and they may decline.
5. How the family is chosen
The Organizer will review all nominations and select one family at its sole discretion, considering need, circumstances, the story shared and the practicality of installing a display at the home. Decisions are final. The selected family will be contacted by phone or email beginning October 16, 2026. If the family cannot be reached within seven (7) days, declines, or is found ineligible, another family may be selected. Because of the number of nominations we receive, we are not able to respond individually to every nomination.
6. What the family receives
A professionally designed Christmas light display for the family's home — commercial-grade LED lights and materials, installation, maintenance through December 24, 2026, and removal in January 2027 (approximate value up to $1,500) — plus any gifts, gift cards, products or services contributed by Sponsors. Sponsor contributions vary and are not guaranteed. Installation is scheduled for the 2026 holiday season at a mutually agreed time, subject to crew availability and weather. The Giveaway has no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged. Any taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
7. Sponsors
Local businesses may support the Giveaway by contributing gifts, gift cards, products, services or funds toward the family's Christmas. Sponsor contributions are voluntary and at the Sponsor's discretion, and the Organizer may decline any contribution. In appreciation, Sponsors may be recognized on this page, on the Organizer's social media and in the reveal. Sponsorship does not create any partnership, agency or employment relationship with the Organizer.
8. Publicity and privacy
Nomination stories are treated as confidential and used only to select and contact the family. With the selected family's consent, the Organizer and Sponsors may share the family's first names, city, photographs and video of the lit home and the reveal for promotional purposes without further compensation. A family may take part without any publicity if they prefer. Nominator and Sponsor contact details are used to administer the Giveaway and, unless you opt out, to send Exterior Holiday Lights news and offers. Information is not sold. See our Privacy Policy.
9. General conditions
The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any nomination that is false, incomplete or made in bad faith, and to modify, suspend or cancel the Giveaway if circumstances beyond its reasonable control require. By taking part, nominators, families and Sponsors release the Organizer and its owners, employees and agents from any claim arising out of participation in the Giveaway or the installation, use or removal of the display. The Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
